Ingredients

1 pound of Ground meat

1 pinch of Salt

1 teaspoon of Pepper

1 teaspoon of Onion powder

1 teaspoon of Garlic powder

½ teaspoon of Chili

½ kilogram of Wheat flour

Preparation

Step 1 : Place the meat in a bowl and add salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder.

Step 2 : Sauté the prepared filling in a skillet.

Step 3 : In another container, mix the flour with salt, butter, and add the sautéed achiote in a little oil.

Step 4 : Add enough water to form a uniform dough, kneading very well.

Step 5 : Roll out the dough and cut into rectangles, then place a spoonful of filling in the center of each.

Step 6 : Fold the dough to form an empanada shape, decoratively sealing the edges with a fork.

Step 7 : Before baking, brush all empanadas with a mixture of water and egg using a brush.

Step 8 : Place the empanadas on a greased baking sheet and bake at 300°C for 40 minutes.
