Ingredients

4 Ripe plantains

2 cups of Flour

½ kilogram of Grated cheese

2 tablespoons of Sugar

1 pinch of Cinnamon

1 pinch of Salt

Preparation

Step 1 : In a large pot, place the sliced plantains and cover them with enough water.

Step 2 : Add 2 tablespoons of sugar, a pinch of salt, and a pinch of cinnamon.

Step 3 : Let it boil and cook until the plantains are soft.

Step 4 : Once ready, remove them from the pot and let them drain and cool.

Step 5 : When cold, mash them with a fork and add the flour.

Step 6 : Knead until well combined.

Step 7 : On a table or countertop, place a plastic wrap, and on it, place small balls of the plantain dough.

Step 8 : Roll out the dough and add grated cheese.

Step 9 : Fold the dough to form empanadas.

Step 10 : In a pan, heat enough oil and fry the empanadas until golden.
