Ingredients
1 Green plantain
1 cup of Rapadura syrup
¼ cup of Water
1 Pinch of baking soda
½ liter of Vegetable oil
Cinnamon
Preparation
Step 1 : Start by peeling and cutting the plantain into 3 or 4 parts, depending on the size.
Step 2 : Then cut them into thin strips julienne style.
Step 3 : In a skillet with plenty of hot oil, fry the plantain strips until they are crispy.
Step 4 : Once ready, drain and remove excess oil.
Step 5 : Next, prepare a thick syrup using rapadura, cinnamon, and water.
Step 6 : When the syrup is ready, proceed to form 12 little piles grouping the plantains with the hot syrup.
Step 7 : It is important to be careful to avoid burns, so it is recommended to constantly wet your fingers during this process.
