Churros are a delicious and popular treat originally from Spain, with a unique twist in Nicaragua. Prepared with a thick dough, they are fried in oil until golden brown and then coated in a sweet aromatic honey. Irresistible at any time of day.
The dough for churros is a mixture of flour and milk that is shaped into long sticks before being fried in hot oil.
The honey made from water, sugar, cinnamon, and cloves is prepared separately to dip the freshly fried churros. It is a classic delight enjoyed in Latin America and Spain.
