Step 1 : To prepare this recipe, start by peeling the grapefruits and cutting them into four parts, separating the pulp from the thick white peel.

Step 2 : In a pot with water and a little salt, cook the white peel along with the pulp for about 10 minutes.

Step 3 : Then let it cool and carefully squeeze each piece of peel to remove excess water, repeating this process 2 to 3 times to eliminate bitterness.

Step 4 : In a separate pot, place a cup of water, sugar, cinnamon, and cloves, cooking until a syrup is obtained.

Step 5 : Add the pieces of grapefruit and cook over low heat until the mixture thickens and the grapefruit reaches the desired consistency.

Step 6 : This recipe can also be made using oranges or lemons.
