Maduro en Gloria
Ingredients
4 Ripe plantains
Oil
½ cup of Milk
¼ cup of Cream
1 Beaten egg
1 teaspoon of Vanilla
1 tablespoon of Brown sugar
4 tablespoons of Cornstarch
1 pinch of Nutmeg
Cinnamon powder
Preparation
Step 1 : Peel the ripe plantain and cut diagonal slices about 1 cm thick.
Step 2 : Then, fry each slice in hot oil until golden on both sides.
Step 3 : Set aside.
Step 4 : In a bowl, mix milk, cream, an egg, vanilla, sugar, and cornstarch, making sure to mix well, and flavor with nutmeg and cinnamon.
Step 5 : Then proceed to assemble the maduro en gloria.
Step 6 : In a baking dish, place a layer of plantain slices, a layer of cheese, and on top the previously prepared mixture; followed by another layer of plantain slices, cheese layer, and the rest of the mixture, bits of butter, nutmeg, and cinnamon powder.
Step 7 : Bake at 135°C for about 1 hour.
Step 8 : Let it rest and cut to serve.
