1 cup of Warm water

1 cup of Warm milk

1 tablespoon of Sugar

1 tablespoon of Yeast

½ cup of Butter

3 Eggs

5 cups of Flour

1 cup of Sugar

1 cup of Grated cheese

Preparation

Step 1 : To prepare the Toasted Picos, start by mixing warm water, warm milk, sugar, and yeast in a bowl.

Step 2 : Let the mixture rest for a few minutes and then add the eggs, flour, and butter.

Step 3 : Let the dough rest to rise properly.

Step 4 : On the other hand, prepare the filling by mixing sugar and grated cheese.

Step 5 : Then, divide the dough into balls and stretch them.

Step 6 : Place the filling in the center and shape the dough around it to create the characteristic picos of this recipe.

Step 7 : Finally, cook the Toasted Picos in a pre-greased skillet at 380°F for about 45 minutes.
