The traditional coyolito sweet is a Nicaraguan delight that combines the sweetness of coyolito with the warmth of cinnamon. Its preparation is simple and requires patience to achieve its perfect texture. Ideal for sharing at family gatherings or as a special dessert. Enjoy.
In a pot, water, cinnamon, sugar, and opened coyolitos are combined, boiling for 10 minutes.
The mixture is strained and the seeds are reserved.
In another pot, the coyolito extract is cooked with sugar, cinnamon, and mashed banana, stirring until a consistent mass is obtained.
When cool, balls with seeds in the center are formed, coated in sugar, and enjoyed.
