To prepare traditional milk jam, first toast the rice until it acquires a cream color. Then soak and dissolve the sugar in the milk, letting it simmer slowly until it reaches a cream color.
Next, grind the rice, strain, and add it to the milk with butter and vanilla, stirring constantly until reaching the desired consistency.
Ready to enjoy with a touch of cinnamon and raisins.
Traditional Milk Jam
Ingredients
4 liters of Milk
2 pounds of Rice
1 pound of Sugar
1 Stick of butter
1 Box of raisins
4 Drops of vanilla essence
Preparation
Step 1 : In a saucepan, rice is toasted until it browns to give the milk jam a cream color.
Step 2 : Then it is soaked.
Step 3 : Sugar is dissolved in the milk and allowed to simmer slowly uncovered, stirring occasionally until it reduces significantly and acquires a cream color.
Step 4 : The rice is ground and strained through a cloth, adding a little milk.
Step 5 : This mixture is added to the milk on the fire along with the butter and vanilla, stirring constantly until achieving the gelatinous consistency of the milk jam.
Step 6 : Remove from heat, serve the milk jam, sprinkle with cinnamon, and garnish with raisins.
