Ingredients

4 pounds of Water pears

2 pounds of Sugar

1 liter of Water

1 Lemon peel

Preparation

Step 1 : To prepare this recipe, a pot with water, sugar, and lemon peel must be put on low heat.

Step 2 : It is important to let the sugar dissolve completely, without boiling, for approximately 10 minutes.

Step 3 : Constantly stir until the mixture thickens.

Step 4 : Then, add the pears, previously peeled and seeded, either in pieces or whole.

Step 5 : Cook for about 7 minutes, until tender.

Step 6 : Once ready, remove the pears from the pot and place them in glass jars for preserving.

Step 7 : Remove the lemon peel and pour the honey into the jars, along with the pears, filling to the top to prevent air from getting in.

Step 8 : Close the jars and let them cool upside down at room temperature.
