To prepare the tamarind and chia seed drink, mix chia seeds with water in a pitcher and set aside.
In a pot, heat water with tamarind until it boils.
After cooling, strain and mix with the chia seeds, sweetening to taste before refrigerating.
Tamarind and Chia Seed Drink
Ingredients
300 grams of Tamarind
2 tablespoons of Chia Seeds
Brown Sugar
2 ½ liters of Purified Water
Ice
Preparation
Step 1 : In a pitcher, pour 200ml of water and add one cup of chia seeds.
Step 2 : Stir the mixture and set aside.
Step 3 : In a pot, heat 500ml of water and add the tamarind.
Step 4 : Stir to separate the seeds well and bring to a boil for 7 minutes.
Step 5 : Then remove from heat and let cool.
Step 6 : Once the tamarind is cold, strain it by squeezing it over a colander, and slowly add the remaining water.
Step 7 : Add the chia seeds, sweeten to taste, and refrigerate.
Step 8 : Before serving, add ice to the mixture and serve.
