Ingredients

½ kilogram of Beef (cesina)

2 Potatoes

2 Carrots

2 Bell peppers

2 Tomatoes

1 Large onion

3 Garlic cloves

1 tablespoon of Achiote

1 cup of Rice

1 cup of Raisins

1 cup of Olives

Lard

1 cup of Bitter orange

Plantain leaves

1 pinch of Salt

1 pinch of Pepper

Preparation

Step 1 : To prepare this delicious dish, start by cutting all the ingredients, such as carrots, potatoes, bell peppers, onions, and garlic, into small pieces and leave them all mixed in a bowl.

Step 2 : Then season the meat and let it marinate.

Step 3 : Separately, wash the rice and leave it damp for half an hour.

Step 4 : In a skillet with enough lard, fry the rice.

Step 5 : Once fried, place in a bowl and add orange juice and salt to taste.

Step 6 : Take overlapping plantain leaves and place a little rice, then meat, and then the already cut vegetables, such as potatoes, carrots, raisins, and olives.

Step 7 : Add a little orange juice, lard, and close the leaf so that nothing escapes.

Step 8 : Once all the steps are done, place the packages in a pot with enough water and cook for 3 hours.

Step 9 : Finally, let it rest and they are ready to serve.
