Traditional watery rice
Ingredients
2 ½ pounds of Chicken
2 pounds of Whole rice
1 pinch of Salt
½ Spearmint
Achiote
1 ½ Onion
4 Tomatoes
2 Chiltomas
Bitter orange
1 Crushed garlic clove
Preparation
Step 1 : The chicken is cleaned with bitter orange and salt before cooking it with water, onion, garlic, tomatoes, and chiltoma until tender.
Step 2 : Then washed rice, bitter orange, achiote is added, and the rice is allowed to pop.
Step 3 : To finish, more bitter orange, salt, and spearmint are added.
Step 4 : Then, it is allowed to rest before serving in cups to enjoy a delicious watery rice.
