Ingredients

12 pounds of Corn

5 pounds of Dried cheese

4 Eggs

1 ¼ Salt bag

4 pounds of Lard

1 Lime wood

Preparation

Step 1 : The corn is washed thoroughly and boiled in a pot with water and salt until soft.

Step 2 : Once cooked, it is peeled to remove the husk and ensure the grains are soft.

Step 3 : Then, it is cooled and cleaned.

Step 4 : Next, it is soaked in water with lime for approximately 24 hours.

Step 5 : The dough is prepared using the cooked corn, cheese, eggs, and lard.

Step 6 : With this mixture, the donuts are formed, which are baked until golden and crispy.

Step 7 : Finally, just enjoy the delicious Somotón corn donuts, accompanied by a good coffee or hot tea.
