1 Indian hen

4 liters of Water

6 Bell peppers

3 Tomatoes

4 Taro root

3 Pieces of cassava

1 Cabbage

4 Corn on the cob

Preparation

Step 1 : To prepare this traditional Nicaraguan soup, start by washing the hen well and cutting it into small pieces.

Step 2 : Next, place it in a pot with 4 liters of water and salt to taste, add the bell peppers and garlic, and cook over low heat for about 2 hours.

Step 3 : Once that time has passed, add the corn on the cob and cassava to cook properly.

Step 4 : Test if the hen is tender and add the remaining ingredients.

Step 5 : Continue cooking the preparation for another hour and add bitter orange juice to taste.

Step 6 : To serve the soup, it is recommended to do so hot and accompanied by tortillas, white rice, and curd.
